Wellbeing Sessions for Schools
Studies have shown that teaching kids meditation can build students’ happiness levels, as well as attentiveness, self-confidence, respect for fellow classmates, self control, and empathy, all while reducing stress, hyperactive behaviour, ADHD symptoms, and depression. In addition, there is often a dramatic improvement in academic performance.
When the habit is to focus on thoughts and believe them to be true, the thoughts have power to drive actions. Meditation techniques gently redirect attention away from thoughts, into a state of peaceful stillness, reducing the influence of destructive and unhelpful thought patterns.
